Jean-Claude Balanos started his career in Accorhotels 30 years ago. After his Hotel management studies, he entered in a Mercure at the reception desk. Very rapidly he took sales responsibilities for the South Region of France for Mercure brand.

After a successful journey, he obtained his first role of Hotel GM a Novotel Hotel in Burgundy region for 3 years. Then, he has been transferred in Spain, where he stayed 12 years.

He has been GM of the Novotel Madrid Puente de la Paz, Vice President Operations for Ibis Brands, and finally took over the role of Vice President Sales, Distribution & Revenue Management for Spain.

Since 4.5 years, he is Vice President for Leisure Sales and also in the advisory board Council of ETOA (Europe Tourism Association).
