Maria is the President and CEO of GTP - DANAE Travel & Media Group, a group active in tourism and publishing since the early ‘70s. The group is engaged in media and publishing, travel and tourism arrangements, hospitality management and airline representations. The network includes award winning online (www.gtp.gr) and print (Greek Travel Pages) tourism publications; quality journalism in the digital ecosystem (GTP Headlines); management and exploitation of big data for tourism; travel arrangements through its IATA accredited agency (danae.travel); and the representation (GSA) of airlines.

In addition to growing and scaling business, Maria is an accidental lobbyist, a regular panel moderator in international tourism related conferences and a speaker. She is also engaged in evaluation committees for tourism related startups and the innovation ecosystem and has a passion to support next generation through mentorship.

She sits on the board of directors of Association of Greek Tourist Enterprises (SETE) and INSETE and she is the Vice-President of the Hellenic Association of Airline Representatives (SAAE). Maria has also served as a Board Member of ECTAA, Vice-President of HATTA, member of the Supervisory Board and Public Relations Officer of FedHATTA, Board Member of PETAGA and she participates in the Sports Advisory Board of Athens College.

Finally, she holds a MSc in Marketing, a certificate in Managerial Finance at LSE and in Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School.
